Hay look! Calves!

Weird title, but I had to include both subjects of this post :)

Life has been feel-good lately, praise God. Don't you enjoy seasons of mental rest? With my three beautiful 'baby girls' to enjoy, garden spoils to harvest, lots of raw milk to use and sell, and hay season with it's golden bounty and sunsets (and sneezes), and friends and family to enjoy it with, it has been a good last couple of weeks.

We've always run out of hay mid-winter, so this time we stocked up on 16 ton of hay, which should get our two milk cows, three calves and a bull through the winter, plus what is needed for bedding. A family from our church helped with the loading and unloading, and we didn't finish until 10:30 last night, but it was worth it!

My new little purebred Jersey, Shiloh.
